Brook should have gotten a point taken away for excessive holding.......he showed very little ring IQ himself.

Shawn Porter got beat by a bigger, better man tonight. That's all.
All I'm saying is that, Berto for all his faults, at least switched gears regardless. We all know why he did that, it's self-explanatory. But Porter does nothing better than what Berto does, except use excessive aggression. He's on one single gear throughout. To me, it's worse than what Berto does. Berto at least displays more boxing ability.

To be fair, he did lure Brook into a fair few traps. They just weren't very effective since Brook was able to avoid most of his shots and use his length to get off his own.

Of course, he only tried to set these traps when he was getting tired... That was silly...

He looks like a spaz in there. Just lunging towards his opponent, and throwing smothered body and head punches.
after watching Brook's fights with carson jones, wouldn't that be your gameplan too? credit to Brook for adjusting and learning how to deal with that style

brook is a very good fighter

Shawn Porter's gameplan was fine. He tried to rush in and close the distance with the taller and rangier guy. He tried to land punches to the head and body. He also tried counter punching. This was a close fight man but Brook had the better natural ability. Andre Berto would have probably got Ko'd if he were in there with Brook tonight. He can't avoid a straight right to save his life.

It's funny that now everyone sees how good Brook is but just 24 hours ago, he was another bum about to get exposed by the savage and awesome Porter.

Porter is dog ****. Always has been and always will be. He wins a couple of fights and he's something special. He's special K's b1tch and not good enough to be his spit bucket man

Therein lies the problem. Porter didn't have a gameplan. That's just the way he fights. He has one real gear, that's it. Mentioning counter punching and Porter in the same breath during this fight is laughable. Maybe you can call it retaliation after getting hit, but not counter punching.

If Berto were in there, the fight would've been much more entertaining, even if he got KO'd. And Berto wouldn't continually rush-in with his head, smother his punches, etc. For all his faults, I would've rather saw Berto in there tonight.

He did go from run of the mill to a monster in 2 fights.

Honestly he didn't look very strong tonight, he's supposed to be a guy that used to fight at middleweight and tonight he was getting overpowered on the inside by Brook.

I'm not saying what Paulie said was true but he looked a bit deflated tonight.

I wonder is Porter is still this 'beast' that will take over at WW.....

People were seriously giving Brook no chance, it was hilarious.
