    Day of a fight

On the day of a fight. How does a fighter spend his day leading up to fight night? When does he eat?

Generally pop tarts in the morning, three pizza slices at lunch, and a lunchables ham&cheese crackers box right before the fight. Each meal accompanied by your choice of Dr. Pepper or Sunny D.

Tbh if you're wladmir then you probably won't get anything. Shannon Briggs will just come and eat it in front if you while trash talking.

Generally it can vary. They'll definitely have a good amount of water once they wake up. It depends on when they wake up. I remember watching and episode of On Freddie Roach where pacquiao woke up at like 10 or 11am before eating a meal.

In general it'll be something carb heavy like pasta.
Red meats like steak are typically avoided because they take so long to digest. Duran used to get bad stomach cramps because he devoured steak before his fights.

But carbs are generally what they eat a few hours before the fight. And they don't drink too much water so they don't get bloated during the fight.
