Not really..........he was won every "interim title bout" he has ever been in. He had one legit title shot against Chavez jr and lost a questionable decision in San Antonio no less. (EDIT: Pavlik did stomp him out but that was back when Pavlik was on his A game and punched like a mule). Since then, everyone has ducked him. He is finally getting the shot he deserves actually.....he is ducked like the plague by champs. I don't really consider anything prior to 2009 to be relevant in his career, he has really just become a player in the division in the last few years.

Rubio was embarrassed badly by lineal champ Pavlik before Chavez. And questionable decision against Chavez? C'mon dude.

LOL...I forgot about the Pavlik fight but for real, he actually deserves the shot. If the guy wins and becomes the mandatory to certain champs, then he should get his shot but dudes keep sidestepping him. Hell, even if he gets beaten up, at least he won't be afraid to punch with GGG.....it should be a good fight while it lasts.
