Nobody has a problem in Manny's camp with Marquez getting his fair share or even a 50/50 split. In fact they offered Marquez to do the fight either in Macau or Dubai so there'd be no taxes. That's even MORE money for both fighters than they'd ever gotten. But Marquez said he wanted $20M, purposely priced himself out do ridiculous, the fight doesn't happen. Nobody gives Marquez $20M and Nacho & Marquez know that too, so the fight doesn't happen. Marquez & Nacho don't want the fight to happen. Just like Floyd telling Manny, "I'll give you $40m, and I get 100% PPV. There was no signed offer so that was all smoke and mirrors for the media to write about, and more importantly, Floyd knew nobody would take that deal and potentially give up another $10m-$20m, which like Marquez, was Floyd's way of saying he didn't want to fight Manny. Even later on Manny said I'll fight Floyd 45/45, and the winner gets the xtra 10%, and he heard crickets from Floyd. Manny went one further and told Floyd, "it's so not about the money, I propose we both put our purses up to World Charities 100%", and again... Crickets. Both Marquez and Floyd priced themselves way out of wack, because neither wants to fight Pacquiao.
Link to something that says they offered JMM 50/50? Im not taking your word for it.

Marquez will be 41 years old this month and has fought Pacquiao 4 times already. People need to realise when enough is enough.

The thing is, they already KNOW it's over but they drag it on and on because the wrong guy was snoring like a baby at the end of the 6th round. If it was the other way around they wouldn't be calling for another one.

Good, the only way this fight would be remotely enticing is if it were in Mexico.

Given the dramatic way the fight ended last time, the opportunity for Manny to avenge such a devastating loss in a fight he was winning, with such ebb-and-flow action, I would venture that #5 could sell more than any of the previous 4.

The public doesn't want another fight? OK. Whatever you say, bro.

True boxing fans appreciate opportunities for redemption. People who are only fans of the sport to nuthug one fighter (I'm looking at you) probably aren't capable of such understanding such a concept

Namely, the profound courage exhibited by a man courting danger and stepping back into the ring with a foe that hurt him so badly he needed a year off from the sport -- and risking the possibility that such an outcome could result again (perhaps with even more serious consequences) -- because he has something to prove to himself.

But go on, troll away, instead of acknowledging the what truly makes this sport great

Sure they would. Marquez cried for a rematch after every fight until he lucked into the one decision he wanted. If Pacquiao won 10 close decisions he wouldn't have been satisfied until he got one win. Pac gave Manny 4 fights of which he didn't have to, and Marquez can't extend one to prove the last fight wasn't a fluke???? They know it was a fluke.

SPIEGEL: Do you advocate the authorization of doping?

Heredia: No, but I believe we should authorize the use of epo, IGF and testosterone, as well as adrenaline and epitestosterone ***8211; substances that the body produces itself. Simply for pragmatic reasons, because it is impossible to detect them, and also because of the fairness aspect.

                SPIEGEL: Are you serious: fairness?

Heredia: Yes. Take for example the most popular drug: epo. Epo changes the hemoglobin value, and it is simply the case that people have different hemoglobin levels. Authorizing the use of epo would enable the fairness and equality that supposedly everyone wants. After all, there are genetic differences between athletes.

SPIEGEL: Differences between living things are called nature. You want to make all athletes the same through doping?

Heredia: Normal athletes have a level of 3 nanograms of testosterone per milliliter of blood; the sprinter Tim Montgomery has 3 nanograms, but Maurice Greene has 9 nanograms. So what can Tim do? It isn’t doping with endogenous substances that’s unfair, it is nature that’s unfair.

I support a 5th fight. One reason is because as this trilogy showed, anything can happen. They can fight each other 6 times, doesn't mean it's going to be the same result.

Another reason is if Marquez truly want that 5th belt to make history, he shouldn't have any problems fighting Pacquiao again. They may have said the 4th fight was it but this fight would mean a heck of a lot more for Marquez. To beat the "Mexicutioner" and make Mexican history would be a much better accomplishment than the KO. I mean, as spectacular as that KO looked, it's still very su****ious and the way he was looking in the Alvarado fight only added to that. So he would need to clear that up too. If he still doubts himself, then he must be hiding something.

Why waste time on someone you've already outboxed 3 times and ktfo once if he's not willing to show the money? 20 mil or go fight another espn fighter.....in china, lmao. Marquez is over 41 years old.

Lucked into the one decision he wanted; is that we're calling well earned knockouts nowadays?

People also need to stop this hogwash about Pacquiao giving Marquez 4 fights.

Fight no. 1: Are the best not supposed to fight the best?
Fight no. 2: Are people not supposed to settle draws?
Fight no. 3: Dealing with a split decision.
Fight no. 4: Dealing with a controversial split decision.

                      How gracious of Pacquiao.
