Whiteness is that WASP holier than thou fantasy standard by which all others are judged. It has to float beyond criticism otherwise the whole racial edifice comes tumbling down. The game would be up.

So if Dempsey and Harrison beat women? . . Well then, that's their individual failings. They're not judged as white men.

And if whole sections of economically impoverished whites aren't living up to that bull**** ideal that whiteness claims for itself alone? Well, they may look white, but they're not really white 'cause they're not doing it right. So new categories are invented; they're the chavs and the trailer trash.

Whiteness distances itself and remains pristine. Untouched by the blatantly ****in' obvious fact of the matter.

That moral decay has no more to do with the colour of a man's skin than it does with the colour of his eyes.

Until we're persuaded to believe otherwise of course. Until warped racial logic is drilled home often enough that we start to believe that it's true. Until it becomes insidious. Until people start to act like it's true . And that's what we'll do 'cause that suits the racial agenda.

So those racial boundaries will continue to be policed by those with a stake in it's claim. So if Floyd beats women, it's not that Floyd beats women. It's that black-men beat women.
Pretty sure lampley beat his woman and people still remember. Pretty sure Kellerman was suspended recently for comments about a previous incident. I agree that some white guys get brushed over when it comes to domestic abuse but it's more about floyd because he's floyd.

Gamboa and wilder were caught up in violence against women recently. So was roger mayweather. We don't hear a lot about that nowadays. It's because of the history and extent of floyd and the fact that he wasn't suspended or stripped if his title that is the problem. The WBC let floyd keep the title while in prison for domestic abuse. The reason you don't hear a lot about white boxers now when it comes to domestic abuse is simply because there are way less of them and this isn't the freakin 1920s.

I agree with about everything that you've said here. The point I was making though wasn't about the amount of exposure these incidents are getting or whether they're remembered or not. It was about the propensity to read the negative actions of a man who happens to be black as being indicative of all men who happen to be black. I doubt that we'd find any posts on this site that are stating that Lampley carrying out domestic abuse is in some way related to the colour of his skin, and that European-Americans really do need to have a long hard look at themselves.

From a clearly moral standpoint Floyd should have been stripped of his title. But, this being boxing it's always morally ambiguous.

Ah right, I see. In that case I completely agree with you. There are a lot who seem to make those assumptions.

A lot of people are saying that the public has finally awoken to the real Floyd, and that they've become absolutely disgusted by him. I feel like his rep is done now. The mainstream now views him as another black thug.

Any man who repeatedly beats up women is disgusting and needs to be put away.

What a disgraceful representative of the good sport of boxing. The sooner this creep retires, the better.

Floyd is not a good guy outside the ring especially when it comes to females.. But this is nothing new, people have known this for years.. I don't know why it's getting so much play currently.

Mayweather possibly has a smaller penis than Davey Haye, hence the insecurity.

Floyd Mayweather is a pretty vile human being, but a magician in the ring. I enjoy the magic.
