No, he isn't. I can't believe anyone would be so ******ed to suggest that Floyd Mayweather is an icon in the black community.

Who is an icon in the black community in your opinion that is an active athlete right now.
I don't see how Floyd wouldn't be considered one, I think he is a bad role model good for his success on the amount of cash he earned but everything else is bad.

You are a gigantic waste of life. You spend your days trolling Boxing Scene trying to smear the name of a man who is the most smeared athlete in the world. You don't have a woman, children, or any hobbies.

How has the world managed to produce such a pathetic, useless piece of ****? You are a sad sack of used tampons. Try to find something that brings your life some happiness. And when you do, kill yourself.

I think there are some younger fans that he heavily influences, same as Lil Wayne.

older adults surely do not consider him an icon, especially when you consider the President of the US and a Supreme Court Justice are black men and you have people like Oprah, Ali, Jordan and Magic.

He seems like a great role model for the African American community who (minus the domestic abuse and the money persona) represents working extremely hard to not just get somewhere, but become a master of your profession/craft and of course avoiding the temptations of street life.

Dude, everyone black in America isn't poor, lacking a good education, and needs to develop a work ethic such that they need a Floyd mayweather to look up to.
