He's rightfully arrogant with a hard earned huge ego. At this point though I think it's less about superiority over other British fighters and more about banking the biggest paydays and the kudos of headlining in Vegas.
DeGale is well beneath Froch, in the same way that Froch was beneath Calzaghe. That's true for all fresh, up-and-coming fighters calling out battle weary champs in the twilight of their career. DeGale is where Froch was before the Super6. He needs to earn his stripes elsewhere. Ward would fight him but I doubt DeGale will go looking for that.
