I actually kind of like Wilder. He's a good guy.

    And he knocks people OUT.

Want to see him vs Klitschko, so I'll root for him from now on.

Translation = I'm fighting a low level handpicked opponent and everyone knows it so I have to try to defend this fight somehow.

        What a joke boxing is.
Thinking about what Mago and Mike Perez went through trying to get where Wilder is today, and Amir Mansour's interview after losing to Cunningham, I guess it isn't that funny after all.

What's there to defend, though? Wilder's typically an active fighter, and he's staying active ahead of a title shot. It's not like he's fighting a step down from what we're used to. No need to say anything.

There's no harm in taking a warm-up fight in preparation for a title fight but I agree with the bulk of the masses that fighting low quality opponents time and time again won't prepare Wilder for the possibly upset when he gets in the ring with Stiverne. All those KOs will be quickly deemed meaningless if he gets destroyed in the title fight. I still think Wilder has a big ? over his head.

He's a talker so he has to say something but he can't talk **** because we all know it's a lopsided matchup, so he has to defend it. Just like when Froch was talking up Yusaf Mack.
