No manager is going to put a marketable fighter with a history of a shaky chin in with a huge power puncher with NO résumé (especially if he also manages the other guy).

Best case, your guy might win and get no credit. Worst case, he gets iced.

Moreover, getting past Thurman proves nothing about Khan's viability as a potential opponent for Floyd. Floyd isn't much of a threat to knock out Khan so it's not like Khan has to face a big puncher to prove he'll be able to "take it" when he gets in with Floyd.
You may be right. Who knows. I know Maidana took the WW title from Broner, and that's why he got the fight over Khan. Khan got dropped by Julio Diaz, and Thurman KO'd Diaz. Porter vs. Thurman is in the works. I think the winner gets Floyd. One way to derail this is Khan beats Thurman first. Then Mayweather will have to choose between Porter and Khan. If he beats Thurman, it will be Khan. If Porter is coming of wins against Alexander, Malignaggi, and Brook, with the IBF strap, it will be Porter.

Next you'll say that Porter's resume is better than Khan's cause Porter KO'ed Paulie while Khan TKO'ed him? despite of the fact that Khan faced him in 2010 while Porter faced a washed up Paulie in 2014??

How about we let 'You' decide whom should Floyd pick?

Khan fought Diaz that was coming off a DRAW against Shawn Porter, Thurman fought Diaz after both Khan and Porter (rematch) beat him and Diaz already said that'd be his last fight before retirement.

Yet Porter's best wins are Khan's leftovers and Alexander?

I reckon you should have some of this
"Amir Khan survived an early knockdown and a late onslaught to eke out an unconvincing points win over supposedly damaged goods in Julio Díaz, yet he was told within minutes of the decision that his next fight would be for a world title.

On his return to the UK after an absence of two years, the judges gave it to him 114-113, 115-113 and 115-112, but again Khan's lack of one-punch power allowed his opponent to force him into uncomfortable situations. He had the heart but not the hammer.

I had it a draw, but with the sixth and the 12th even, and two 10-8 rounds to the Mexican, so there was little in it either way. However, the loser will feel aggrieved on two counts: first, that he started too cautiously and second, that he did not receive full dividend for his domination of the second half of the contest."

Like I said, there was a controversy. Go check Marquez and Bradley's records fighting welterweights (and please don't count Bradley's win in the first Pacquiao fight).

Lol what about the rest of the Media who scored that fight comfortably for Khan and all the showtime crew? you gonne go with 1 freaking article? lmao, you're dumb man.

Watch the fight your self and score it, numbnet. No f***king way there was any 10-8 round Putting Thurman in the same sentence as Marquez is ridiculous on your part.

          Seeya Hater, keep clowning yourself

How many fights has Khan had at 147? How did the first one go (Julio Diaz)? Wasn't Khan supposed to fight Laexander last year? Didn't Porter beat Alexander before Paulie? Who cares what he did at Jr. Welterweight. If a Jr. Welterweight is deserving of a fight with the Welterweight Champion of the World, it would be Danny Garcia (WBC/WBA) and not Amir Khan. Your boy must do more at WW. Porter is going for his, and if he gets a KO Saturday, your boy Khan might be crying in beer on Cinco de Mayo...again.

Yeah and didn't Danny lose to Herrera and just fought Rod Salka who's ranked #77 at Lightweight

Whom is Porter fighting? Kell Brook the guy with the Post padded record in the History? A stepping stone to Mayweather right? What happened to Porter in first Julio Diaz fight

How about we let him pick Floyd's next opponent?

This idiot must have supported Floyd for facing Ortiz (no fight at 147) ,Guerrero (lol) and Maidana (2X) lol.

Amir khan loses to both of them. Guerrero and alexander are leagues above julio diaz and shot collazo.

I think that if Khan wants a Mayweather fight, he needs to beat Thurman or else Mayweather might fight Porter instead. I don't think Alexander & Guerrero will be good enough.
so thurman deserve a shot at floyd next then not khan! base on ur statement here.
