Haymon would never put him in with Thurman. That fight makes no sense unless you are hoping and praying for Khan to get KOd again.

No manager is going to put a marketable fighter with a history of a shaky chin in with a huge power puncher with NO résumé (especially if he also manages the other guy).

Best case, your guy might win and get no credit. Worst case, he gets iced.

Moreover, getting past Thurman proves nothing about Khan's viability as a potential opponent for Floyd. Floyd isn't much of a threat to knock out Khan so it's not like Khan has to face a big puncher to prove he'll be able to "take it" when he gets in with Floyd.

His record at 147 is better than Marquez and Bradley, and they've already had shots at the WW title. He destroyed Diaz, the same guy who dropped Khan, and lost a controversial bout in the UK. He beat/stopped Chaves, the same guy Rios just fought. The only thing Thurman is lacking is star power. I think that if Khan wants a Mayweather fight, he needs to beat Thurman or else Mayweather might fight Porter instead. I don't think Alexander & Guerrero will be good enough.
