damn JMM seemed to have a lot going for him. I liked the way he fought against Pac and was hoping to see the two go at it again but that seems a little unlikely these days. Marquez was a good talented boxer and I think plenty of folks here agree with me that a points loss to an Indonesian fighter in Indonesia isnt always legit. Either way its kind of sad that he lost and i see so many doors closing for this man, how old is he like 32?

one thing I hated about jmm was how much energy he put into defensively moving his lead hand from his body to his head in a zig zag motion.it got slower as he got older, it was only a matter of time

JMM and ****** Beristain wanted even money in a second fight with Pac and were denied, so they didn't take the fight. In retrospective, it was a monumentally ****** decision.

Barrera needed to rebuild his confidence and reputation after the ass whopping he took from Pac, which he has done, quite nicely by the way. In retrospective, it's proving to be the right decision, as the rematch will likely be the most profitable fight ever in the lighter weights.

JMM and REALLY ****** Beristain wanted ridiculous money that was beyond the budget for that fight. JMM's management started out with a figure that was laughable and made it hard for those negotiating to take them seriously with how ridiculous it was. They did not want even money, they wanted more money and ended up settling for WAAAAAY less. Still hard to understand. Nobody can be that ****** but I guess Beristain was.

I agree that Barrera needs to rebuild his confidence, but the amount of time it is taking is letting everybody know that his confidence was completely destroyed by pacquiao in their fight. If Barrera ever faces Pacquiao again, only time can tell.

I watched that fight a million times and tried to see how people scored it for JMM. I agree that JMM took many of the rounds after the 2nd but got caught and lost in some of the rounds as well. I gained alot of respect for the skill of JMM watchning the tape over and over. I had it closer than ledderman but still could not see how they had Marquez winnng that fight.
