Briggs is not quite the one trick pony that Douglas was. And paralleling Wilder to Tyson is just plain wrong. That chicken leg hype job will never accomplish what Tsyon has. I would love to see this fight. It would at least give us a better idea of where both men stand. It would be Wilder's biggest fight with the most experienced and toughest boxer he's ever faced. It would also show whether Briggs is capable of beating the guy who some believe will give Klitschko a tough fight.

It never ceases to amaze me how ignorant the casual fan can be. One thing I have seen alot on BS forum is how much of a "hype job" Wilder is. The guy is 31 for 31 as a heavyweight people. All KO's! Who cares if he hasn't fought the best guys out there (you don't start 0-0 fighting champs unless your name is lomachenko), but he is making his way that direction and I'm pretty sure he gets his bills paid in doing so. I don't care how many No name guys hes fought and Ko'd, some of those same guys would probably go the distance with top HW's. Malik Scott got flack because he laid down? The guy got KTFO - no question. Malik Scott was a good prospect who was KO'd quicker and easier than it took Chisora. Needless to say the Chisora KO was his own fault for not getting up in time. Some of these computer nerd, casual fans who call juggernaut HW's like Deontay Wilder a hype job are the same ones running their mouthes in a bar about how a certain fighter is a *****. This sect of people is ******ed and probably have no clue what it takes to step through the ropes/cage and fight someone - let alone KO all 31 of your opponents. If you're real boxing fans, you should have a little more respect for the men and women who fight for a living and our entertainment. If you can't do that, then just keep looking ignorant and type away. Just an fyi...

30 kos in 30 fights is still 30 kos but the only semi step up fight for Wilder so far in ko'ing Malik Scott was more than a little suspect. The way Scott supposedly got knocked out didn't look that convincing, even on the replay. I remember right after the fight was stopped the announcers had to play the replay back a couple of times to determine if Scott was actually hit by a punch! I'm pretty sure he actually went down after taking a punch on the glove. I'm not saying Wilder doesn't have legitimate power but there are still some unanswered questions about how he will fare against top level competition.

Yeah I seen that last Malik Scott KO.

It was a farce. Scott was paid to take a dive. There can be no denying that. They need to get some acting lessons from WCW

That punch didn't even really connect. Any wind from it at all would have been almost as piss weak as the Ali/Liston phantom punch.

Boxing was renowned as being real. Not very happy about going down the fixed fight path now

Wilder vs Scott for REAL would have been far more competitive.

I wonder how Wilder would respond to this.

Team Wilder seems to have done an excellent job to me. They've managed to line their guy up a title shot against the weakest HW champion without actually fighting anyone with a pulse. Impressive work.
