Comments Thread For: Angel Garcia Feels Peterson Will Be "Easy" For Danny

Angel Garcia, father and trainer of WBC/WBA junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia (29-0, 17KOs), feels confident that his son will easily dispatch Lamont Peterson (33-2-1, 17KOs), who holds the IBF's version of the title.

Both champions were in action on Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Garcia demolished Rod Salka in two rounds and Peterson stopped Edgar Santana in ten.

Then beat him at 140 with the belts at stake, that or vacate the titles as 140's best and see what you can do at 147 lbs....

Danny's best chance is the first 4 rounds We know he has some power but we also know his power can not knock out everyone. Peterson is a slow starter but once he gets going Danny will take more punishment than he has ever taken. The fight will not be easy as Danny's father claims unless they get Peterson out in the first 4 rounds

Why is Angelina Garcia speaking without permission from Reuben Guerrero?

Puto Espinoza probably saying "Salka came to fight tonight! So we're going to be working closely with Al Haymon and see if Mayweather vs. Salka can be done in May. Since Salka showed up for the fight..errr I mean showed heart in the fight. He won his chance to face Mayweather. Danny Garcia himself agrees he should sit this one out and let Salka face Mayweather because Danny Garcia just had a tough, tough, fight beating up a little kid. Angel Garcia thinks his son needs a year off from fighting, since he just beat the best guy ranked at #77."

PASS ON THIS IMPORTANT NEWS TO THE REST OF THE INTERNET.. PREFERABLY TO DANNY GARCIA, ESPINOZA, AND GBP.

          Good day.

The way Peterson fought Saturday. It does look like a easy fight for Garcia.

I can't see Peterson as an easy fight, when Herrera was supposed to be an easy fight. I think Peterson is better than Herrera, or at least more versatile than Herrera. That being said, Peterson is not better than Matthysse, and we saw what Danny did there. I doubt the fight will be @ 140, because both have trouble getting to 140 at this point.

If Peterson slips or blocks the left hook well, he will inflict some punishment on Garcia. It will be anything but an easy fight for Garcia.

Peterson is susceptible enough to early power that perhaps Garcia can stop him early, but I doubt it. I would expect a very good and close fight.
