I disagree, taking drugs doesn't harm anyone. It may harm the user, but that's his choice. Boxing also harms the athetles, but its they choice to practice the sport.

There is a big difference between shoving a point of view down someone's throat and understanding that when an adult makes a personal choice that hurts no one, the adult should be supported by their community. You don't have to agree, or want the same thing to understand that people have their reasons. what cost is that to you? or anyone? Do you really think that if Kellie is supported people will all start sex change operations?

When political correctness is involved the issue is usually opinions and the right to express them. Asking for support from your professional group does not imply you are asking them to agree with you...only to support you as a person.

We almost had an openly known gay pope during the medici era as well right? The greatest legion in greek history was openly gay as well....So tell how something that only became a taboo because the church and kings needed people to reproduce is not normal...****sexuality only became a big issue when kings realized that people not breeding meant less soldiers to defend their realms. Unfortunately most people don't want to be educated...it is far easier to hold on to ignorance and ******ity....My father told me a great story from when he was in the Marine Corps...Second World War, in the south pacific. His group, who survived and bonded against intense circumstances were introduced and my father happened to be one of the few ***s in the marines. Well these guys, virtually all of whom were from small towns across the South and America, started about how ***s looked..."they had horns, gigantic noses, etc..." My dad calmly asked how many ***s they had met? you can guess the answer...and soon afterwards my dad became the cause for quite a few marines to lose the anti-sematism that they had assumed would tell them what ***s were like.
