Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya has come out in defense of tonight's main event between WBC/WBA junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia and huge underdog Rod Salka. The card is taking place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. De La Hoya has no problem with the big underdog receiving his once in a lifetime opportunity.

The WBA/WBC refused to sanction the fight for the titles, which is why it's a ten round contest being fought at a catch-weight of 142-pounds.
