Yeah, how dare he find ways to maximize profit and schemes to get people to pay for his fights. You know they should just strip him of his purses every fight because of this. I mean who the heck makes smart business decisions nowadays!? Makes me sick!

The sad thing about those smart business decisions is that they involve choosing the opponents gloves. That shyt don't go down well with the fans.

But yes, of coarse Mayweather will maximize profits fighting Latin fighters on certain holidays since the Latin audience carries the sport of boxing financially to an extent. However, what "brothas" made for a high demand and attractive fight for Floyd in the past few years? He fought Mosley and was set to fight Berto (who then lost to Ortiz). Maybe Paul Williams is the only guy that made for an intriguing fight since Floyd became a PPV draw but that's all I can think of.

i'm sure having canelo fight cotto's brother on the undercard helped a little.

that said..... floyd is better than ali and fought tougher opponents!

Lets put it this way, Floyd is an opportunist of the highest degree but I don't think he is a fraud. I think he has fought a whose-who of boxing and I blame him and Pac for their fight not happening. It's his outside the ring persona that has not endeared me to him as a fan. I was a fan for over 10 years from the Olympics on. But he put on the bad guy image for the Oscar fight, and has not taken it off since. And by doing that, he alienated himself from fans and top boxers with his antics and statements. Larry Holmes and Sugar Ray saw the bad side of him in person.

Ya, but guess who was on the undercard? CANELO! Thurman is the WBA #1 contender and Porter is a champ. Again Floyd said his name is what sells his fights so it shouldn't matter who and where he fights. I bet if Porter was Latin Floyd would have fought him already.
