The Porter fight will never happen, Porter works with Conte, and JMM works with MEmo,Conte and Memo hate each other, Conte keeps demanding Memo fighters take VADA testing or random testing in general year round and he never lets his fighters use year round testing.

Another thing if Brook wins no way it happens in Mexico. If Brook wins his promoter will wait for the winner of Pacquiao Algieri for a title unifier, fighting Marquez doesn't really do much for them at this point even though he is a legend he is a high risk low reward fight since Marquez has no strap.

Hearn and Arum can make a Brook vs. pacquiao-algieri title unifier easy.

Marquez, at this point in his career, doesn't make it a full 12 with Porter.

pac was taking the same test everyone else was required to take and passed all of them unlike some other fighters. Marquez has not won a fight within the last couple of years when he was required to take osdt. Please don't play that butt hurt card. Pac has redeemed himself like a true champion and risen from defeat and winning back his belt from a boxer (bradley) that schooled marquez. How many hof boxers has this guy beaten? Without that one pac win he would be just another Mexican ex-champ and not some boxing god that some people pretend him to be.

It would be a bad style match up for Porter but due to his age, size, power (not certainly knockout power), inside game and speed I'd give him the edge slightly. 60-40

I hope we get to see Marquez vs. Porter, and I'm glad to see that Marquez is seeking such a challenge. I can't see how it would work though. If Arum couldn't get Danny Garcia (Haymon) for Pacquiao, then I can't see how he could get Porter (Haymon) for JMM. I still think JMM's last fight should be a 50/50 split with Pacquiao in the new Cowboys stadium. That would be just as big as a Cotto vs. Canelo fight.

I think Marquez should retire. But, I also think brook and porter have a style an older fighter can still exploit. I also think Porter may be too big for Marquez.
True. JMM has a better KO ratio than Pacquiao in case somebody forgot. Only Manny fans think that JMM had his first KO victory when he put to sleep their god "pacman".

Lots of athletes ,and Jay Z, do that. Hell, Hopkins promised his mom he'd retire a long time ago and he's still here. Its hard to just let go. I can understand that.
