ESPN has suspended Max Kellerman for admitting on one of the company’s radio shows that he once hit his wife before they were married, according to a report on the New York Daily News’ website Friday night.
The 41-year-old Kellerman, also a boxing analyst for HBO Sports, reportedly made the remark Monday as a guest on the “Mason & Ireland Show,” which leads into the Los Angeles-based afternoon drive show Kellerman hosts along with former NFL defensive end Marcellus Wiley on ESPNLA (710 AM). According to a story written by Daily News TV/radio columnist Bob Raissman, Kellerman mentioned that he and his wife, Erin, slapped each other when both were intoxicated during a party years before they were married.
