    I thought GBP was dead???

A few months ago certain posters here claimed that GBP was on the verge of collapse and predicted that it would e dead in a matter of weeks/months. They assured us that Oscar played no part in the massive success GBP has enjoyed for the past decade and that he was merely the "face" of the brand. They asserted that Oscar had no business sense and could not handle the day to day operations. They went as far as saying that Haymon and Richarde were GBP!

It has now been a few months and I have yet to see any of their predictions come into fruition. On the contrary, I see a jubilant Oscar; a confident Oscar; an assertive Oscar; an articulate Oscar.....a true BOSS!I see decent cards from GBP on almost a weekly basis and some great cards ahead (sans Garcia/Salka ut that's the ******'s fault) and his website has all the top talent in boxing.

Floyd , the man that said he would never work with Oscar if the **** left, ate his words and came back like a dog to his master with his tail between his leg (this especially made me very happy ) and like a true BOSS, Oscar raised his promotional fee.

So I ask all the NSB lawyers that predicted (and wished on) Oscar's failure, what happened? Why is GBP still alive an kicking and actually flourishing?

Floyd is only dealing with Oscar for this last fight because the date and venue was already reserved by Goldenboy...this is why he now has his own promotional license

Hopkins v Kovalev? the FOTY on paper.

The mismatches on GBP cards are almost exclusively Haymon fighters but that's not going to last.

Biggest positive for De La Hoya and GBP was Canelo beating Lara and returning 400k PPV meaning whatever happens he can carry their company.
