I like Canelo because his resume just keeps getting better. He's always looking for the best fights. However, I think its a big mistake to fight Kirkland before you get a chance at Cotto, and from what I hear from Freddie Roach, Cotto wants the fight right now. He should fight Cotto in 2014, and shoot for a rematch with Floyd in 2015. Fuc*ing with Kirkland could derail the whole event. I'd rather see him fight Quillen @ 160, vice Kirkland @ 155. I don't know why his camp sees Kirkland as a "stay-busy" fight. The man is a problem, and has only lost once. Kirkland is not Angulo...Just ask Angulo.

i think it's highly likely that we see this fight. the money is there.

cotto may surprise some people, too. it's a winnable fight for cotto. canelo will obviously be the favorite, but i wouldn't count cotto out. canelo likes to take his time and box. cotto is a very experienced, and very good boxer. he has a good jab and can still use the ring intelligently if he's not hurt.

when cotto is hurt, post margarito 1 [and even mosley,] he can be made to back up. the way to beat cotto is to hurt him. canelo can definitely hurt him.


fun fight. i'd buy it on ppv with no complaints. buying the lara and angulo ppvs made me feel like a bit of a chump.

If this fight gets made for May. It will be the biggest blow Mayweather has ever taken. This will definitely take ALOT of money away from Mayweather and he will not like being exposed to how little his audience really is.

Everyone in the real world knows Hispanics/latinos make up the majority of the boxing fanbase and if it weren't for Mayweather fighting Mexicans on Mexican holidays he would've never come close to record breaking numbers.
