You ask who is mad? Mostly the boxing fans who claim Canelo is ducking GGG even though they are campaigning at separate weight classes. Anyway GGG batters Canelo in my books, unless Canelo somehow gains a huge boost of power and is gifted with a titanium chin at 160..which is very unlikely.
You had me until "Campaigning at seperate weight classes." Canelo's last two fights have been at MW... saying anything otherwise is pure fanboy crap.

That's an excellent fight. Very good for the sport.

I just hope that, if Canelo wins it, he doesn't hold the belt/lineal title hostage and faces undeserving contenders and give Golovkin his shot.

It would be a pretty good fight, before Golovkin stops Canelo in brutal fashion.

yeah, I guess I can't explain myself correctly. Anyway what it boils down to for me is

        1) If Canelo wants to stay true to his word of being a career JrMW then he should make 154 lbs from now on and stay away from Cotto's belts.

        2) If they go for those belts it is complete and utter BS. GGG deserves them more than Cotto himself. He has been campaigning and putting in work with what he manages to score.

        3) If ever Canelo moves up and does take Cotto's belts… GGG would obliterate him or anyone else holding those belts.

I'm far from a fanboy and even though I like Canelo, he is pretty low on my "Boxers I shall cape for". The point I was trying to make was exactly what you stated. Even though 155 is technically middleweight, those belts shouldn't even be eyed by Canelo's team. That's complete and utter BS. You see, some fans only see Canelo as a MW in convenience to their agenda.

Canelo is a 155 full fledged MW against Lara, so now that he "beat" Lara some fans are anxiously waiting for GGG to beat Canelo down. Thus, those fans keep calling Canelo a coward for not taking on GGG. At the same time they will turn around and b!tch and moan that Canelo shouldn't take Cotto's 160 lbs Belts especially at anything below 160. But what if they settle for a fight at 155 for the MW Straps? Most biased fans would go ape ***** on here and you will never hear the end of it even though they share your thought of Canelo campaigning at MW since his previous 2 fights have been at 155.

Anyway I can't put it in words properly I guess lol. Anyway screw those belts, Canelo doesn't deserve them. Or does he? Since you know… he already beat Lara and Angulo at MW?

Let's get over this weight class and which belt debate. That's all secondary. Cotto is going to fight Canelo in May 2015 for the '54 title. Canelo will win that fight and therefore Cotto will never seek to unify his Middleweight title with Gennady. Then the fight for Sept 2015 will be Gennady fighting Canelo, and they can then throw both belts on the line, which GGG will beat down Canelo and collect the titles. At that point Gennady will just give up the '154 belt and let those guys go fight for it again, while Gennady looks up to pursue Chavez and Ward. Gennady has no interest in spending time at '54; he's a true middleweight. The ONLY chance we have of seeing Cotto fight GGG is if somehow he gets by Canelo, but that ain't happening.
