I honestly don't get it. Why has he been embraced? I am puzzled.

Who's Garcia signed with again? That's right..Haymon and GBP. Where's that list of all those Al Haymon fighters taht was being passed around... lot of fighters on that list wouldn't you say? Now why isn't Garcia fighting a single person on that list?
I mean... GGG or Kovalev never tried to fight a big name before. As soon as Hopkins offered, Kovalev said I let my manager Klimov decide... they have two hands and I'm a fucking picker.
So you're telling me Garcia couldn't fight anybody on the GBP/Haymon roster?
Lundy, who's far more accomplished at both 135 and 140 has been crying for a fight and he's actually free... but no... Danny Garcia has no oponents to choose from while GGG/Kovalev have all the opponents to choose from.
That's why when Hopkins offered to fight Kovalev... he obviously turned it down and said I'm gonna let my manager decide for me... oh wait.. that didn't happen.

I think people were starting to come around to him until the Herrera fight. He clearly lost that fight and is now more or less a paper champion. Instead of rematching Herrera or taking on a tough challenge to prove his mettle or moving up in weight into the hottest division in boxing, he sits idly by while Al Haymon handpicks an unranked lightweight to fight him at a catchweight of 142 pounds because Garcia can't be bothered to make the weight in the division where's he's supposedly unified champion. His deference towards money-hungry promoters and "I'm just a fighter" mantra doesn't sit well with NSB who wants their fighters to clamor for the best fights in the division irrespective of promotional conflicts.

Name a fighter at 140 who has beat a better group of fighters than Danny Garcia just one. Only Khan,Alexander & Bradley could make that claim but they are all welterweights. The Salka fight was a horrible but it's no different than what any champion in history has done everybody has a tomatoe can during there title reign.

GGG is a fraud.
Let's try again: Danny can pick whoever he wants. But we get Rod Salka. GGG cannot. In fact, you want him to fight either a weight below him (as if Canelo would take it) or above him in order to have a chance to pick a good one. Danny does not have to do this does he? In fact, he just fought a lightweight at 142.
These are two entirely different situations. And Salka is no Gaele by the way.
