I would slap this guy hard if I saw him in person. Same with Danny.

Are you honestly attempting to compare HBOs tripleheader against the **** tripleheader we're being fed this weekend? Rios is considered by most as an unskilled brawler and would walk through Salka and Santana on the same night.

This is just terrible. Stop talking, Angel, Danny, Espinoza, De La Hoya(?), please stop defending this fight. If you are being asked these questions, just say "no comment". There's no way to defend this fight. Jacobs vs Fletcher is the best fight there and that's not saying much.

Did I say anything about the complete card? NO. did the poster I responded to say anything about the complete card? NO. He referenced **** fights, I asked about last week's **** fight.

              Is that ok?

Boxing is the only sport where the best don't have to fight/play against the best and its just keeps getting worse. If the networks and promoters aren't going to do anything about it the fans should take it upon themselves to do it.

What pisses me off the most is they put together garbage fights and then try to convince people its a competitive fight and actually worth watching, who the hell do they think they are fooling?
Other than this card and the kov fight last week i dint think boxing has been as bad as most want to think. Next week is a good card.

As for Haymon/GBP- from my vantage point all Haymon can do is not allow fighters in big fights. GBP still has to meet their obligations to the fighters, Fox Sports, and the Spanish network for their weekly shows. They also have venues like the Barclays where they have agreed to put on fights this year to fill. ODH can't fail to meet those obligations.

That's the only leverage Haymon has. My guess-a 3rd party(Espinoza, Barclays guy, FS1 execs) tells ODH that they can't allow him to put on **** cards and **** up the ratings, which ****s up the advertising dollars. Haymon agrees to let better fights if ODH agrees to let Schaeffer (and all other ex GBP employees) out of the non compete clause.

Then hopefully all parties start putting on the fights we want and slowly bring an end to the cold war.
I notice how B-Hop took one for the team. As soon as he agreed to fight Kovalev, the lawsuit against Haymon/GBP was dead.

Don't subscribe, don't stream, don't watch and send an email to Showtime, not Espinoza.

If enough fans do it will make a difference.

But people are generally too apathetic and will just do nothing.

My thinking as well until I read that had he not made a fight by today he would have been stripped of the belt. So I guess GBP and main events realized this had to be done or Haymon would have control of all fights for the meaningful belts.

Al got a bone to save face but I think he took a L on this.
