I can't even believe these clowns (Haymon/Espinoza) can do this in this day and age of social media where every bad move people make in any business is scrutinized and have instant repercussions. Back in the day they can do whatever they want and get away with it. HBO was Haymon's previous puppet and there was no such instant backlash. These clowns keep doing it and don't learn anything.

Great post. Haymon and Espinoza are driving this great sport into the grave.Comment

Espinoza said "It doesn't matter what people say or what people write", so lets show him, his network, the promoters, the managers, and everyone else involved that the only thing that matters is what people say and write because without us fans watching there is no show.Comment

Katsunari Takayama vs Francisco Rodriguez Jr will be this Saturday, it's #1 on the television picks of the week and it's going to be a great action packed fight. I recomend watching it even if you have to stream it instead of wasting your time watching the other joke of a card that will be going on.Comment

What did you think about Showtime in 2013? I thought it was awesome! I think you hit it on the head with the whole Schaeffer/GBP legal issues. Showtime is dead without Haymon fighters, but I don't think they're dead yet. Next week's card is very nice.Comment

As for Haymon/GBP- from my vantage point all Haymon can do is not allow fighters in big fights. GBP still has to meet their obligations to the fighters, Fox Sports, and the Spanish network for their weekly shows. They also have venues like the Barclays where they have agreed to put on fights this year to fill. ODH can't fail to meet those obligations.
That's the only leverage Haymon has. My guess-a 3rd party(Espinoza, Barclays guy, FS1 execs) tells ODH that they can't allow him to put on **** cards and **** up the ratings, which ****s up the advertising dollars. Haymon agrees to let better fights if ODH agrees to let Schaeffer (and all other ex GBP employees) out of the non compete clause.
Then hopefully all parties start putting on the fights we want and slowly bring an end to the cold war.Comment

I was like that until recently but im not watching these terrible matchups over and over anymore. As long as they get people to watch they will never stop, I know im only one person and wont affect the ratings but **** it im doing my part and with this fight I think a lot of other people are feeling the same way.
Boxing is the only sport where the best don't have to fight/play against the best and its just keeps getting worse. If the networks and promoters aren't going to do anything about it the fans should take it upon themselves to do it.
What pisses me off the most is they put together garbage fights and then try to convince people its a competitive fight and actually worth watching, who the hell do they think they are fooling?Comment
