I've known of him since early last year when he fought Prescott and have watched some earlier fights of him since then. I don't think anyone really thinks of him as a huge puncher.

I'm not neglecting that at all. I am saying that I think, assuming they both land(duh), Gamboa's chances of knocking out Garcia are not as good as Garcia's of knocking out Gamboa. Could I be wrong? Absolutely.

He was going through promotional issues, drug accusations and such. Abril stepped in on days notice and schooled him for every second of every round and chased him out of the division.
