Heck, Rodriguez completely blew thru a guy in Grachev that arguably defeated Bute, beat Sillah and Zsold Erdei. But you don't know who he is, but you know who Yusaf Mack and George Groves are?

Chad Dawson (borderline HOF'er) asked to go to SMW; no one made him or asked him to do that. Please don't take away from that great victory by Ward.

So to answer your question, Froch/Dawson/Rodriguez >>> Bute/Kessler/Groves.

I will give Froch the advantage of activity over the last few years, but that's where it stops. Let's not forget that Froch's first win over Groves was highly disputed as he was losing the fight on all 3 scorecards before that paid off stoppage.

It just baffles me how you don't who Edwin Rodriguez is, but hype Froch's single victory over Groves so much. Groves sole claim to fame was his close SD victory over James DeGale.

Not to mention, Carl Froch "refuses" to fight Ward in a rematch even if he could.

Lastly, let me be clear. Carl Froch is a bonafide Hall of Famer without a shadow of a doubt; he's a true warrior for what it's worth, I respect greatly. But trying to replace Andre Ward as the #1 SMW because he's not very active and many people don't like him is erroneous.

slow claps build to roaring applause.

somebody hit this young preacher with some green K.

Chad Dawson borderline HOFamer? Rodriguez better resume than Groves?

Froch/Dawson (168)/Rodriguez > Groves, Kessler, Bute? Are you f'king kidding me?

      That was some ******ed shyt!

And please, Froch refusing to fight Ward - He's said many times he'll fight him. But in the UK where the money is. Nobody knows Ward in the US man, even though HBO do their best to use him in their fights. The dude is even boring as an analyst!

And I'm pretty sure Ward needs to sort out his passport and lawsuit before he can start talking, because he might be champion, but Froch made more (probably double) in his last fight than Ward has made his whole career.

Groves would deal with Rodriguez if they fought.

No froch does not refuse a rematch, ward will simply not comeover to the UK.

Froch fought him in America, has two belts, has justed generated 22 million. Froch ducks no one, you should know this by now.

Rodriguez is no where near Bute, kessler, or groves, you know this as well.

But most importantly, there in NO other sport that would tolerate this inactivy and keep your number 1 ranking.

From Ronnie Osullivan, to Tiger woods etc, when a sportsman is inactive for what ever reason they drop out the top ten and have to work there way up.

Ward is not clocking up the ranking points to be number 1...

it's only a brit who thinks that they're not at least comparable.

groves is a nobody. his claim to fame is dropping our carl in round one, beating james degale [a f#cking *****,] and glen johnson's dead body.

            hurrah for our george.

giving ward zero credit for completely whitewashing rodriguez, and giving froch a ton of credit for hard fights with groves, is a distinctly british phenomenon.

we americans are real fans of the sport. we don't get one fighter per generation to call a great, the way you guys have done with froch, lewis, hatton, etc.

what's funniest to me is that froch had to wait for haye to retire, and amir khan's chin to get even worse, to become popular. froch couldn't get on SKY to save his life until those two shipped out.

these were two top judges in AMERICA judging, froch nearly koed Ward in the last 3 rounds, who was done. And that was a sub par froch, imagine what he would do in Nottingham....but of course ward doesnt want none in the uk despite the payday...

I never said that, your man just spouted it as gospel! Groves at least have those three, Rodriguez literally doesn't have anyone on his resume as good as that version of Johnson or even Paul Smith. His best win is a guy who gave shattered bute a run for his money. I mean, come on.

Groves is a 10 times better fighter than Rodriguez easy, but Groves is not even the top of Froch's list, it was just a huge fight because of the circumstances.

Well, you're obviously ill informed regarding the last bit with Sky, so I'll leave that there.
