The Scott Quigg murderer's row contines.....

    Continues*

So, the latest person to win the lotto is 34 year old Paulus Ambunda. According to July 2014 rankings the guy isn't even ranked top 15 by WBA.

Is Quigg's next opponent going to be picked from the soup kitchen? He goes around calling himself "THE" WBA Super Bantamweight Champion. You all by any chance might have heard of Guillermo Rigondeaux right?

Tomoki Kameda beat Paulus Ambunda to win his first championship. Ambunda was undefeated at the time.

Yes, I do realize Ambunda was a champion, but that was at Bantamweight and how long did that last for? He lost it in his first defense. Sure, the label of a belt holder help rationalize this fight for Quigg, but this guy is also 34 years old.

This guy as I've stated above isn't even ranked top 15 by WBA as recent as July 2014.

It is not this one fight, but an actual trend with Quigg. What about his last opponent?

I said it in a thread i made about the fight yesterday. Since signing with Matchroom, Hearn has fed him nothing but easy fights.

I suspect Hearn is looking to try & make him his next big cash cow. He's going to lose Froch soon due to retirement.

Quigg won his fake title by drawing with someone who wasn't in the top 10.

Honestly, Quigg's progression isn't that bad.

He was fighting Jamie Arthur several fights ago and has recently fought good opposition. Good enough for a world champion? Not really but he didn't exactly carve his way out there. He hasn't many as good as Ambunda - so why is he going to be thrown in with another champion?

Quigg will lose when he steps up against the best in the division, Hearn is just trying to prolong his reign/set-up a bigger cash out. I have faith in Hearn matching him well though, I can't see a Cleverly situation here.

              I can see Quigg-Frampton being a trilogy.

Who the **** is Scott Quigg? Im not even joking.

I catch the UK fight cards fairly often and I have never seen the guy. Looking at Boxrec he's been holding belts for three years and has fought exactly no one.

GOD DAMN that is one nicely padded record. Im not even mad, just in awe.

He is the regular champion - what's wrong?

He is the wba super bantamweight champion? I actually don't see too many things wrong with his progression - he's getting better and has been fighting decent opposition recently.

They are building up to a Frampton fight - which will probably go down when Frampton has beaten Kiko Martinez.
