If the Schaefer split hadn't happened, Rigo would be with Golden Boy right now. He is a free agent and is waiting to see how things play out. He will be with the company that fights on Showtime. Most Likely Mayweather Promotions.

I don't think Rigo has ever been a "free" agent since Caribe Promotions has claimed lately that Guillermo had a contract with them previous to Top Rank (I can assume that every time they allowed Rigo to fight under TR they got some money too). Maybe Rigo could legally fight this company or get someone (Haymon?) that could pay them to release Guillermo of his contractual obligation.

Still butt hurt that the winner gets no respect and still in his **** hole waiting for another bum to come along while the loser has moved along and now a feather champ, earning good money on the side? FYI, the loser earned 1.5m in that fight while the winner earned 700+K, the most he will be earning before he retires. He will be lucky if he cracks the 500k level again. You see, he needs that phoney to have a good payday.

I don't feel that Top Rank wants Chris Avalos to face Rigo though . . . why has the match been so hard to make that the WBO had to force it with a countdown clock?
