  • Comments Thread For: Rigondeaux's Promoter Eyes Agreement on Avalos

Boris Arencibia, CEO at Caribe Promotions, who handle the career of WBO & WBA super bantamweight world champion Guillermo "The Jackal" Rigondeaux (14-0, 9 KO's), says his company is willing to satisfy the recent order that was issued by the World Boxing Organization, ordering the two-time Olympic gold medal winner to face mandatory WBO challenger Chris Avalos (24-2-0) 18 KO's. In addition, the American Avalos is ranked as #1 by the IBF and #5 in the WBA.

I like this fight i believe avalos can pose some problems for rigo.... but iam realistic and i think this fight can play out like donaire vs raul martinez too, either way this fight has alot of intrigue for me as a boxing fan!

Rigo wins, But at least he is not with Arum anymore. Now they can put this on Showtime where he will be respected.

Nice, Rigo just needs to stay busy and fight as much as possible. He barely broke a sweat his last fight.

But seeing as Avalos is promoted by Top Rank, Arum will try to rob Rigondeaux.

Espinoza is not going to buy any Rigo fight that's not Santa Cruz or Mares. And he's specially not going to buy a show promoted by Top Rank.

Looks like he'll be working part time with Arum, but for less money. And if they don't take what he wants, he'll just let it go to purse bid.

Hey, maybe they put it in Florida
