I've never been to a theater for a fight. Don't think I'd want to. I like to get my drink on during the fights. And yeah, it does seem like it could be weird and uncomfortable.

Outside of watching it at the venue itself -- my home or at a bar are the only places I care to see a PPV fight.

It's certainly not one you will hear from any of the assembled talking heads on Showtime, the CBS-owned cable network to which Mayweather is contractually wed. And while it may be easy enough to guess why the boxing media has been so willing to cover for Mayweather's sins, it's less obvious why so many others are so willing to look the other way.
A semi-bitter tone for an otherwise decent post. Perhaps the media you mentioned could care less about his personal life and more about his professional one and his accomplishments in the ring.

After all, pretty much every athlete's personal life is pock marked with less than perfect life experiences, right? And maybe the media is aware that every athlete is capable of dealing with the resulting consequences of their actions.

So they choose to report on what matters most. The sport.

It seems clear haymon believes floyd's core fanbase will choose to spend $10-50 bucks for a ticket to the theatre to watch than $69-79 to watch at home. Makes sense given the core demographic floyd appeals to.

I don't know if selling out every seat makes up for the money lost if ppv sales don't exceed what they did the last fight.

I get Boxnation so it will cost me one months subscription of £10.

I set my alarm for 330 am, kiss my wife, sneak out of bed, let my dog onto the couch and stick a pizza in the oven.

Usually works pretty well - watched the first fight between Mayweather and Maidana, Cotto, Pacman, Rios, Canelo this year so far.

              Never dozed off once.

              Yet...

3 rounds into this fight I will be lights out - Floyd potshots, clinches and whines to the referee. Wins a easy UD.

              Easy money doe.

stood toe to toe? You mean that he couldnt get out of the ropes? And I dont wanna hear that bs that he fought that way "for the fans". Cuz the day before he was getting ready to cancel the fight. He didn't even let maidana use the NSAC approved red gloves. The same gloves his own stablemates were using that same night. You FLO MO fans are dilusional.

For $79.95 in most places you can get the movies ticket, a pint of liquor to sneak in, and still have enough for the cover charge at the club.

Seems like a no brainer if you are 21-30 yrs old.
