Did he win a round?
Can Curtis Stevens beat Golovkin in a rematch?

Imo he can, Curtis showed that he has the speed to give GGG fits, GGG looked lost in there at times, it's funny how he's given GGG his toughest fight and he hadn't even fully grown into the middleweight division.
I think he over thought things and gave GGG too much respect, the rematch will be totally different (if GGG wants it).Comment

Stevens won a single round, at best.
Golovkin pushed him wherever he wanted with his jab, battered him on the ropes and generally dominated him with ease. Stevens landed a few decent shots in 8 rounds, he spent the rest in fear/survival mode after getting dropped heavily....it was a domination.Comment

I can't imagine a rematch gets made. Stevens wasn't even close to winning a round and it wasn't a highly anticipated fight. In fact GGG was criticized for taking this fight in the first place. Total mismatch all around.
Its not happening and the only thing Stevens can do different in a rematch is swing for the fences which would just result in him getting knocked out earlier this time around.Comment
