Getting KOd later than somebody is hardly an achievement to boast of. At least Geale didn't embarrass himself by talking tons of trash.
He wasn't really boasting. He did say it "doesn't matter, we all got taken out". I don't think Stevens is a bad guy, he was just selling the Golovkin fight.
I thought Stevens gave Golovkin his stiffest test since that crazy Ouma fight. Against Stevens, it's the only time I've seen Golovkin second-guess himself and stop pressing forward... at least for a few moments. I'd like to see a rematch if Stevens can impressively get past N'Jikam, and maybe another beltholder.
I was saying the same things stevens just said when I was watching the fight. Every time stevens hit him, ggg stopped pressing and thought twice. Wish he DID let his hands go but another fight would be good. The face was crazy doe oooooooooo he hit hard hahhahaha
I don't think so man, Sanchez admitted that they took their time with Stevens because he was stronger than they thought. He is also the only fighter that I have seen back up Golovkin(for however briefly) and temporarily stagger him. He has very good power, shame that he has subpar boxing skills.
There's no doubt that Stevens hits harder than Geale. He's also a very big middleweight, coming down from light-heavy.
He's right. Stevens was better than Geale. At least he showed some heart after getting smashed in the 2nd and taking an absolute hammering for every round after that.
Having said that, he did hit GGG flush and, even if he did take a step back, he didn't look close to going down.
