Can someone shine some light on what started this entire debacle between Ward and Goosen?

Ward believes he's a PPV caliber fighter and wants PPV kind of money. He's said multiple times Goosen isn't getting him the fights he deserves.

Honestly, Goosen has done a fine job with Ward. Got him in the Super Six fought Kessler and Froch. Big fight against Dawson. Got $2m against Rodriguez coming off an injury. Not sure what else he wants. Not Goosen's fault if Froch and Kessler aren't running over for a rematch. Only big fight for Ward at 168 is Chavez. That's literally it. Ward isn't exactly a superstar and That's just life. With his style of fighting, he's going to need more of a personality like a Hopkins or a Mayweather to generate a lot of attention, but that's just not who Ward is and that's fine.

How is this Ward's fault for taking financial control over "HIS" career?

Most fighters don't take financial control over their careers until it's too late (i.e. Tyson, Jones, Holmes, etc.)

Super middleweight champion Andre Ward’s latest legal move against promoter Dan Goossen and his Goossen Tutor Promotions is a lawsuit filed in federal court alleging violations of the Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act.

I for one am happy... this means HBO will not waste 2 prime fight dates and budgets on Ward's sorry @ss! Spend that money and those 2 fight dates on some exciting fighters not someone as exciting as whittling wood! Boxing > Ward
