WBC/WBA junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia (28-0, 16KOs) is not concerned with the members of the media who are dissatisfied with his upcoming opponent, huge underdog Rod Salka (19-3, 3KOs). The Showtime televised fight is scheduled for this Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Originally the fight was scheduled to be a title fight, but neither the WBC or the WBA were willing to sanction the contest, because Salka, who is moving up from 135-pounds, is unranked at junior welterweight.

I strongly urge REAL fans of the sport to tune out on Sat so that the ratings for this fight can be in the toilet. This is the only way they will keep forcing crap fights down our throats!

Anyone who tunes in and watches this is an even bigger embarrassment for the sport than the fight itself.

Do the right thing and boycott this and all matches of its kind. It may not be much of a message to send but maybe eventually enough people will catch on and it'll make a difference.

Im puertorican but I hope salka whoops his ass for this ***** move. I would rather see him fight peterson or a rematch with herrera or mathysse. Every fighter fights cans sometimes, but at least they fought 4 or 5 times a year.

Dude - LMFAO, I had to look to the left to figure out who NE was, classic and my sentiments, Danny its not the media, its the boxing fans, who where once your fans, real fighters stop this BS months ago when it was announced..watch salsa do the mambo on his arse - Danny can be outboxed, he is only really dangerous when you press him because he can punch while alot of other fighters are punching with him (his KO of Morales and Khan) but he and his team have been very classless towards everyone since this fight was announced - for some reason I have a image of Rocky Balboa chasing that chicken around - that is what this fight is gonna look like..
