I will break it down like this.

Diego Chaves wasn't afraid to go toe to toe with Thurman and fight him clean cause thurman was reacting to his power he tried the same thing with Rios in the fight round (like pacquaio did) and he realized rios is too tough and strong for that so he reverted to trying to box and his dirty tacts (pacquaio went into boxing mode aswell but fought like a man).

So in conclusion
1) chaves is good but only if his power can affect you (rios have above average chin)
2) Not sure what you asking cause Rios been through all these wars and still the same fighter to me.
3) Diego Chaves will not be a Quailty win on Thurman record cause he hasnt beat anybody his own accolade is giving Thurman a tough fight thats it. He was nobody before that and has done nothing since that lost.

You know what I do remeber is Chaves nothing being afriad of Thurman and fought him yes was his downfall but is beside the point, Chaves fought Rios the same way he fought thurman and Rios didnt back up and Chaves had to try soemthing else.

Its a history with lesser fighters, Anthony was more highly praised then his brother and rios fought him he had no choice but try to cheat and hope he can win, same with Chaves when rios faced him Chaves had no choice but to fight back or foul and when they realize they cant fight back they start to foul.

Thats where we just have a fundamental disagreement. Thurman and Rios have very different styles. Thurman was not only able to find the way to win, he also did it by KO. Rios, on the other hand couldn't despite whatever Chaves did. Rios isn't innocent either, he was blatantly leading with his head.

I'd even go a step further and say that Rios has a f**king elite chin. It may very well be the only elite thing he has -- but that chin is steel.
