Anyway, Ward insinuates that Goosen may be freezing him out, no getting him a fight. He says he CAN fight, but Goosen isn't getting him any fights.

And do you really think Ward "avoided" those two up and comers? A guy who came off of fighting Kessler, Froch, Abraham, Bika, etc. would avoid two guys that just became popular?
EXACTLY! Fans say just the dumbest things, most don't think before they post yeah I am sure Ward is terrify if guys who really haven't done much in the sport of boxing

Lol while Ward schooled the then Super 6 favorite Mikkel Kessler, 5 months later Stevenson gets KO'ed by a journeyman Darnell Boone. While Stevenson was making a comeback against other journeymen, Ward as going through Green, Abraham, Froch. Now he's scared of this guy who just became popular in 2013. Kovalev is a good fighter, I have nothing bad to say about him other than he just became popular in 2013 also, shortly after beating Campillo people thought it was just Campillo was old, but then the Cleverly win in mid 2013 made him the real deal. Still, fans do this too often. Throw proven fighters under the bus for new prospects who just got a few good KO's.

I have a hard time believing Ward is the most popular American fighter in the UK.

I really hope Ward can find a way to pick it up next year. He needs to, it's a crime to see such a great fighter waste his prime on court battles instead of ring battles. Can he not see why Goossen has no incentive to make fights when Ward is suing the man? It's common sense.

He raised a very good point about Golovkin's people using his name. Clearly that's all they were doing based on their recent comments.

He also refused to even discuss fighting Froch in the UK, which would probably have been an even bigger payday.

Goosen is being stubborn here not goign to meetings and such, but it's probably because he's pissed that Andre keeps suing him and not doing anything until there' not in the courtroom at all
I was about to say that.

The problem is Ward trying to be a diva with this step down shit. Gossen got him to stay home like a bitch while everyone went somewhere to fight. That's work for the promoter.

People always talk about Ward hiding or not doing enough to get fights made. But what about his competitors? Ward, despite his long layoff is still the man to beat. Now why aren't fighters calling him out? I'm sure if Kovalev or Golovkin lit a fire under him he'd do whatever it takes to get in the ring with either of them. I'm not saying Ward should not take any blame. He can't just sit around and expect the ball to roll on its own. I'm just saying it takes effort from more than just one guy to get fans the kind of fights we want. If Golovkin wants it...start barking at Ward. This method works like a charm. Ask Lara.
