There was a photo of her with Golovkin and Kovalev walking in the street.

Anyway, from this article it seems Haymon has signed Thomas Williams Jr. (or Mohammedi) and that Campillo was supposed to lose meaning they would fight for B-Hop's vacant belt.

I think Haymon would be happy enough with Hopkins beating Kovalev as he would probably go back to fight Stevenson, but what he really doesn't want to happen is Kovalev to win.

Yea which means it was a calculated move, which didn't pan out. It's not like Haymon PAID for the belt like other promoters have done i.e Canelo & Chavez Jr

Well it was either that or B-Hop was being paranoid. There is good reason to be paranoid with Haymon, but he may have landed himself in a fight he didn't truly want. I think he would have beaten Stevenson easily, with Kovalev I'm not so sure.

Yea it's posturing by BHOP no doubt, but Kovalev is pretty straight forward as a fighter which Hopkins feels is to his advantage. Hopkins no matter who he steps in the ring with, is fighting Father Time at this point.

            • While I give props to Bhop for facing Kovalev, this is really all about him staying on the up side and not getting punked. He either has to fight his mandatory or another belt holder to avoid being stripped of his title. The old man definitely has big cajones to get in the ring with Krusher, but does he have a choice? Neither Showtime nor HBO wanted the (mandatory) Mohammedi fight. Stevenson and Haymon were stalling for Bhop to run out of time & either settle for a **** deal, or be stripped of his title. The alien couldn't allow either, so he's fighting Kovalev.

Duckenson blew it by running to Haymon and Showtime to avoid Kovalev, in favor of what he likely believed to be an easier fight with Bhop for more money. Now he has neither fight lined up. Slowly but surely, the greed of Haymon (and Stevenson) and its consequences are biting them in the ass. I for one, am LMFAO!!

Hopkins has single handedly ended the Cold War, he should be getting more credit

I think he had a little help from Oscar and Eric. Mad props for him facing a young KO artist in Kovalev though.
