there's a ton of pressure on Kovalev but I see him reacting to it fairly well. He just looks a bit nervous. He can't give Hopkins any respect and last night's fight against Caparello showed Kovalev giving his opponent a little too much room to breath. I realize he crumbled him with one body shot but before that he wasn't fighting as intense as he usually does. He was dry coming in and basically up until that liver shot, looked overly cautious about the stakes at hand. Hopkins was in attendance and I think Kovalev was fishing for a perfect punch. It didn't come to him in the first round and he gets tagged while Caparello is also stepping on his foot (which begins a very premature celebration from some). Then the second round begins. That gut shot didn't even seem like a full power shot from Kovalev. Hopkins is great. I repeat. HOPKINS IS GREAT but this man has too much power. to quote Rocky IV "Whatever he punches....he destroys!!"

Lmfao I was referencing the co ppv where if bhop won & ODLH beat sturm they face each other for the mw straps. So when Kovalev got dropped BHop had to think "the payday gone" smmfh you ****** ***. Not hard to comprehendComment

Apparently you don't know who Hopkins is, here is his record: http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?cat...&human_id=1414
Obviously YOU don't comprehend that being a puncher alone doesn't work with slick boxers. Kovalev's opponents stand right in front of him, that's easy work for a "puncher".Dude I just want to see Kramer and Mel Gibson corner Kovalev and then have Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson corner Hopkins it would make for the ultimate race war....
Throw in Sean Hannity and Reverend Wright as the guest referees and it would be epic....Have Hannity ref rounds 1-6 (to give Kovalev all the advantages) and then have Reverend Wright ref rounds 7-12 (to give BHop) all the advantages and you have the ultimate PPV event....
LOL, this guy rekt u fools
Some of you are such amateurs at watching this sport it's hilarious. Comparing guys and styles like all white guys are alike. You sound like you didn't graduate high school. And probably didn't - some of you. Kovalev is white so he does nothing but come straight ahead right? Hopkins beat Pavlik - a middleweight 6 yrs ago. Pavlik was white unbeaten so Hopkins will automatically handle another white undefeated guy even tho he's a light heavy and absolutely pummeling guys like Campillo and Cleverly who are pretty solid 175 lb guys. He's not just beating these guys. He's DESTROYING them. I know I know. These guys aren't Hopkins.
Kovalev is not a "come forward" fighter. He cuts off the ring as well as anyone in the game. Campillo was on his bike the entire fight - a seasoned veteran who has seen a lot in the game. He couldn't get out of the third round and was lucky to make it that far.
Kovalev is by far the biggest puncher Hopkins has ever fought. And at 50 yrs old. Even with all his tricks - Hopkins is gonna get hit in this fight against a guy who can cut the ring off like this.
You guys are underestimating Kovalev's skills. He's more than power. He's a smart fighter who moves well and drags you into brawls.Comment

I don't mind these predictions, as long as those people give Kovalev credit now. We all get fights wrong sometimes.
Problem is many of them aren't, and are just on to the next fighter the "slow, one-dimensional brawler" will get exposed by.Comment
