You are 100% right. i think its 154-168 though from back in the day. I dont know why people are really *****ing about 6 freaking lb difference. Same excuse they are using for GGG not to fight ward for the lineal 168 lbs title.

Oh please I wish boxing weights were like back in the day. Featherweight, lightweight, welterweight, middleweight and heavyweight. No super or jrs or anything like that. So back then there was no thing as "catchweight" bs. GGG fans are funny. 168 is too much for ggg to fight ward. Oh cotto wants ggg to fight at 154 waaaahhh waaahhh. GGG's team already had stated theyll fight anybody 154-168.

You won it from a 160lber, so defend it there. Screw all this catch weight BS! Why should Gennady have to drain down close to 154, when he's always fought at 160, he won the title at 160, so unify it there. Just a bunch of BS anymore with all this catch weight crap. Roach talks about how much bigger Gennady is; so f'n what! You should have considered that when you went up to fight a shot, 40 yr old, injury prone Sergio. Not everyone is shot at 160. So either man up and fight the best there, or relinquish your 160 belt and stay at 154. Cotto can't beat Canelo at '54 anyway. Maybe Cotto should go fight Juan Manuel Marquez. He's 40, and smaller! Maybe Cotto can defend his 160 belt at 147 against Marquez, giving JMM that xtra belt shot. This catch weight bull**** is getting out of hand. Maybe we can get Klitschko to defend his heavyweight title at 175 against Andre Ward??? COTTO GROW A SET!!!!
Serious cotto hater here^. GGG's team already said theyll fight anyone 154-168. So he willing to go up and fight chavez jr at 168 for not belt, you fans defend him on that. But when ward wants to fight him at 168, ya say "hes not in the same division doe". Hypocrites.

            Make the fight at 157lbs.

Three up for Cotto, three down for Golovkin.

They did have a clause in the contract that cotto couldnt rehydrate more than a couple of lbs before the fight.

You want no catchweight but you fully support Cotto's catchweights. Cry some more will you? Haven't you stopped bleeding yet?

                  Others were..

Julio Cesar Chavez vs Meldrick Taylor for the welterweight title at 145.
Pernell Whitaker vs Cesar Chavez for welter title at 145.
Terry Norris vs Meldrick Taylor for the junior middleweight belt at 150.
Oscar De La Hoya vs Bernard Hopkins for the middleweight championship at 158.

If camp Golovkin agrees, then make the fight. It'll be a good one.

Nope did not say I supported the catchweights. I said that it has been done before plenty of times but all of a sudden cuz its GGG the ATG , the next GOAT its a freakin problem. But then when ward wants to fight ggg ya say "hes not in the same division doe." "the fight doesnt make financial sense doe." hypocrites.

Wow even I didn't know that.... I don't like catch weights but I don't have a problem with cotto fighting GGG @ 54... He don't need that belt at 60 anyways... GGG a fraud... Teddy atlas went bonkers on him last night saying he hasn't beat anybody
