You are 100% right. i think its 154-168 though from back in the day. I dont know why people are really *****ing about 6 freaking lb difference. Same excuse they are using for GGG not to fight ward for the lineal 168 lbs title.

Anyone can really expose Cotto/Mayweather fans with it comes to catch weights. All it takes is a couple of minutes of searching. Look at how they're defending this.

Oh please I wish boxing weights were like back in the day. Featherweight, lightweight, welterweight, middleweight and heavyweight. No super or jrs or anything like that. I don't get it. He goes up to fight Sergio at 160. Sergio was bigger than Cotto. Trout was bigger than Cotto at 154! Defend the title against ANOTHER Middleweight Champ in Gennady at 160. You won it from a 160lber, so defend it there. Screw all this catch weight BS! Why should Gennady have to drain down close to 154, when he's always fought at 160, he won the title at 160, so unify it there. Just a bunch of BS anymore with all this catch weight crap. They did have a clause in the contract that cotto couldnt rehydrate more than a couple of lbs before the fight.

Sugar Ray Leonard made Danny Lalonde come down from 175 to 168 to fight for his light-heavyweight title and the new super middle weight title. He also fought Hearns for the super middle weight title at 163.

Nope did not say I supported the catchweights. I said that it has been done before plenty of times but all of a sudden cuz its GGG the ATG , the next GOAT its a freakin problem. Wow even I didn't know that.... I don't like catch weights but I don't have a problem with cotto fighting GGG @ 54... He don't need that belt at 60 anyways... GGG a fraud... Teddy atlas went bonkers on him last night saying he hasn't beat anybody
