Cotto is too small even for a drained GGG.
I agree, financially he would be a fool to take this fight, particularly in light of Golovkin's latest viewing numbers.

You blindly defend Cotto for wanting to be the middleweight champion by forcing other middleweights to fight below their weight. You, sir, are the definition of a fanboy nuthugger.
When did I defend that? Please quote it. I said that ggg is the one that said hell figh cotto at 154, now ya *****ing about it? think about it. Befoer cotto won the belt GGG said hell fight him at 154. Now that cotto has the belt ggg changes his tune and wants to unify belts. He wants to prove hes the best right? ya saying that hes the best middleweight right? So like teddy atlas' rant last night on friday night fights, GO FIGHT ANDRE WARD!!!

157lb is middleweight, right? or did I miss something.

If Golovkin can do 157lbs he will become a more attractive option to the top JMWs like Alvarez and Andrade.

Hahaha, so he can fight Martinez at 160 but not GGG.

That says it all right there.

Sure, 157lbs is middleweight and the middleweight limit is 160lbs. You support catchweight fights between champions in the same weight division. Duly noted.

Actually he made Martinez come down as well (159lbs).

This is just Freddie calling GGGs team bluff about fighting anybody from 154 - 168.

Second they are not fighting GGG before FLoyd 2 and Nelo, would make no sense to do that.

And third why are people only raving about GGG what about the other champs in the division, I mean GGG is not a mandatory to Cotto's WBC title nor GGG has a better resume than Soliman or Quillin.

So this is just people falling into the hype and wanting GGG to make bucks and get name recognition instead of finding the true MW champ like they b*tch about

He just fought martinez at 159 there's no reason the fight should be anywhere below that. King cotto is learning the diva moves from pacquiao and mayweather.
