I think the style of Marquez would suit Porter okay. He's good with come-forward guys but I just think there's too much of what you said: strength, size, power and explosiveness for Marquez to handle. Marquez in my eyes wouldnt stand much chance. There's some chance, but it's slim. A bonus is that I think they'd both have equally good drugs so it'd really be a fair fight in that sense, just as this Porter v Brooks fight is.

Just wanna point out that Diaz and Katsidis was pre-memo, EPO and HGH Marquez. More accurate would be thinking of the Pacquiao IV, Alvarado Marquez.

But I essentially totally agree with you, and Im pretty sure Porter wont be respecting Marquez too much. Thing about Marquez though is he always has his power (and accuracy so he WILL land), so he could conceivably force Porter to slow the pace. Other than that, Porter really should be able to handle this comfortably. In boxing, I generally go for the skills guy v the physical guy, but this is a case where there's just too much physicality to overcome for the more skilled fighter.
