If that's true then Floyd is going to have to find a new venue because Golden Boy has dibs on the MGM grand for both Cinco de mayo and Mexican independence day weekends for 2015. There is absolutely nobody that Floyd can fight that will be as big as Cotto/Canelo next May.

People that claim that they're boxing fans don't want the best fight possible this year. Marinating isn't a big deal when it's the boxer with the same flag doing it. Casual fans are better than a lot of these hardcore boxer fans in these forums.

Cotto is a Top Rank fighter and has said he's going to finish his career as one. Mayweather is never going to fight him again.


Unless Mayweather/Pacquiao gets made, Canelo/Cotto will outdo any opponent Mayweather picks.

This is not due to the case of the cold war lol its due to each fighters own ulterior motive. Canelo wants the Cotto fight for Cinco De Mayo weekend so he can take it back from Mayweather and only fight that he can beat mayweather with at the moment is the Cotto fight, Cotto is not going to sit around for close to a year before Cinco De Mayo comes so he gonna get a fight in in December. Nothing to do with the so called "Cold War" of boxing.

Cotto will probably rematch Trout, that fight will still sell at MSG in NY.

Canelo will probably fight Kirkland the only good fight left he hasnt fought at 154, he beat everyone who is anybody at 154 (excluding p.will due to his circumstances)

I would love to see a Trout rematch, I hope that's the route he takes. But I don't think that is going to happen as Trout has a fight in August and Cotto is talking about announcing an opponent next week.
