It will be Cotto vs Rob Salsa. He is clearly ducking Golovkin. Once Salsa loses to Garcia. Bob Arum will give him the title shot.

Cotto vs Marquez at 152 sounds good for a tune up!

He will fight some no-threat so they can secure the Canelo fight in May or june.

You have no interest because you worry Cotto will get his ass kicked by Rubio. Rubio is the real deal at middleweight.

GGG says he's available for the date...but Rubio should get his shot and I don't want to hear any excuses about he deserves a tune up fight..

First of all, Bob has no ties to Canelo whatsoever, and he only works with Cotto on a fight-to-fight basis, so anything that idiot says is almost irrelevant. Showtime is NOT going to tell the guy they shelled out all that money for (Floyd) that he's being bumped from that date. There is no chance in hell they are going to do that. So unless you happen to believe that Golden Boy is going to somehow leave Showtime to work with HBO (and not only that but leave them to set up a pay-per-view on the very weekend that Showtime will be trying to do a Floyd card) you're out of your mind. Oscar is ******, but he's not that ******.
canelos contract with hbo ends this year, so next year he can fight on hbo if he wants... the fight happens on 5 de mayo on hbo...

Honestly, boxing is a business and you know mexican vs puerto rican on Cinco de Mayo is money and a showcase ppv fight, if bob father wants to screw that up he knows Pac vs May shuts down annnnnnyyyyyyy fight. But good for boxing fans. Pac vs May would shut down this site. But seriously wouldnt even you crazy people have to realize you're not gonna jeopardize all the money to be made by putting cotto in with some killer in December that would be ******, for boxing fans and the most important thing money. Give Cotto an easy KO to drum up even more money for that date oooorrrrrrr He can face Floyd in NY on ppv and make even more money at the door and ppv.

Would rather have Cotto/Canelo in May anyways. It will be bigger than the Floyd/Maidana fight, that's for sure.

Cotto vs Canelo in May is a bigger fight then anything Floyd can do besides fight his bogeyman.Floyd could always fight on Martin Luther King day weekend right? Haha
