It's obviously going to be a "safe" opponent to set up Canelo in May. Rubio probably if they can't avoid it. Someone from 154 who's not a big threat if they can.

Well, Rubio sure as hell is not "safe" - that mofo still has the tools to spoil any party. But seriously, I would not be surprised at all if they got Provodnikov to blow up to 154 and get a "second chance" after the Algieri loss. Maybe even Alvarado. I'm just thinking like Uncle Bob here.

If cotto fights Canelo then there's less than zero chance he fights Pacquiao because Arum isn't going to have cotto and Pacquiao on competing cards

LOL, Arum really try to ****ing with Floyd but I think it will go backwards. If they would do the Canelo-Cotto fightin December not just in May because Arum wants to compete with Mayweather, than they would get much money from this fight. But I can really see a chance for that Cotto who is still not a middleweight will lose in December and after that they can flush the Cotto-Canelo fight down the toilet. It wouldn't be that interesting anymore if Cotto would lose in December and I think there is a legit chance that he will, unless he fights some directly keep busy opponenet for him.

But what I don't understand is what Arum has to do with Cotto or Canelo? I know he is cool with Cotto but Cotto is now not with TR and Canelo is with GBP. So why Arum is reaching this hard for a Cotto-Caneo fight on cinco de mayo?
