Boxing is having a bit of bad year after such a great 2013 it seemed, but this happens. What happened with De La Hoya and Schaefer needed to happen. When this settles itself, I think the sport will be better for it and more matchups will be made next year. I truly believe GBP and TR are going to work together next year.
Ever since Schaefer left, Boxing has gone down the drain. Schaefer would not have made Danny Garcia vs Rob Salsa. Bob arum is Bob Arum, He will continue to make joke fights for his cash cows Pacquiao and Chavez, but Chavez himself is a joke anyway. It may have had to happen but it sure happened at a bad time. Most of the Golden boy fighters under contract who are with Al Haymon will go over to Mayweather Promotions. And I am sure his promotional company will get Schaefer a Position. Schaefer stepping down caused this downward spiral of Golden Boy fighters horrible matchups.

Quillen is better option vs GGG

MSG is Cotto home however Quillen is from there. So it would do a great gate and probable solid PPV numbers as well should it go that route.

And it didn't even break 1 M. It's a down year for boxing PPV numbers.

Arum did try to make Chavez vs GGG though, and he's putting Chavez vs. Froch together for January. He can't control if a guy doesn't want to fight a certain fighter. Manny problem is hell just fight whoever Bob throws out there on the other side. I'm sure if Bob said it's Mayweather then Manny would say fine. He's not known as the ducker or fraud.

Absolutely and I will tell you this. Even A Canelo vs Cotto PPV would not break 1 million which proves the absolute point and I am sure you agree with this and have anyway from the word go that A Mayweather PPV #'s will always be the most. Canelo has a Lot of fans and haters, Cotto has a lot of fans and haters, Golovkin has lots of fans and haters, Broner has lots of fans and haters, Danny Garcia has a lot of fans and haters, Marquez has a lot of fans and haters. The point is that unless these guys are fighting Mayweather or Pacquiao, The numbers won't get past 1 million. But Pacquiao vs Algieri won't even do more than Bradley vs Marquez.

I pick Quillin. Quillin has trained with Roach for Longer than Cotto and if Roach sides with Cotto, Quillin can use his knowledge of roach to take advantage of roaches training flaws, and the flaws of cotto that are already known.

Quillen was like 187 the night of last fight and he's never even headlined a showtime card.

Tim Bradley can make 154 lbs. And to get a shot at Cotto, Bradley would love to go to NY. What other options does Bradley have? Think about that. I would not even be surprised if it is Bradley.

That would be a great fight.honestly, we all know Cotto may never face a legit 160lb fighter again anyway. Why not just vacate, move down, fight Tim in December and Canelo in May. Makes too much sense I guess.
