The guy pulls out a new lambo every month and is all over the news in uk over the things that aren't relevant to boxing. Made 1 million his first professional fight.hes only 27 and can probably buy off all of the fighters from garcias gym including maidana. I guess Thurman and Bradley are more relevant.

      Value to whom?

The only single value he has is with the UK fan base that doesn't know the difference between a valued American fighter and a valued UK fighter. Khan has Zero Value in the U.S...IMO..

If he had zero value he wouldn't have a contract with showtime and headlining events....

          ****** thread.

And who is relevant? Not Garcia. Not Thurman, Guerrero, Broner... They're all pitted against nobodies. This sport is ****ed up.

Khan beat the guy that Mayweather is fighting twice in a row. Floyd also ducked Khan just so he can fight a guy Khan beat instead.. lol

obviously OP is trolling, where do these guys come from??

Why not take free money if someone is giving it to you?

Zero value in the US yet they paid him the same amount of US dollars as a guy fighting Mayweather? Sure pal.

He's not easy to beat, you have to go in to the fight knowing you're more than likely going to be severely out-boxed if you can't land the home-run shot. Therefore, the top dogs like to use the excuse "he's garbage, he got beat by such and such." You can't be relevant when relevant fighters avoid you for whatever reasons they might have.

Well he is... I mean, his name is brought up quite constantly by the media and fans, whether under a positive or negative light, he is still talked about.

However, relevant as top fighter as he once was seen... no. He is still stuck in that limbo between a good fighter and a star. He seems to be floating endlessly in between. It's like we are waiting for that next step but it doesn't get here and he sort of shows he might be close but at the same time he doesn't.

It's just the curious case of Amir Khan.

Brook has had over 30 fights at Welterweight. He should be ahead of Khan whose had 1. Fact is that Khan's 1 win trumps all 30+ of Brook's which is sad. Brook, even with a win over Porter, will not be as big a name as Khan so very unlikely he gets a Mayweather fight.
Won't be the bigger name but will have the bigger BUZZ, boxing is all about what have you done for me lately, not what you can "POTENTIALLY DO" or "WHAT YOU WOULD HAVE DON'T IF YOU FIGHT THIS OR THAT GUY"

Khan is playing it "SAFE" you and I know this so know Kell Brook doesn't become the bigger name or the bigger DRAW...BUT that win would create a Buzz for him, just like Maidana created a Buzz for himself after beating Broner. Even Showtime promoting the fight as the winner possibly getting a shot a Mayweather. We Shall see how this plays out. Khan needs a BOLD FIGHT and he needs to win that BOLD FIGHT to make people believe he is WORTHY of a shot a Mayweather, Sorry but beat Collazo doesn't make you WORTHY of a shot at Mayweather
