Maidana without question. The title makes it sound like this is about adversity, Maidana has crossed paths with lions, it's not close to close. Your OP however makes it sound like you are comparing resumes, because names alone don't tell you if a fighter went through adversity or not, so if the point is about resumes them floyd wins by a landslide.

Maidana has faced more adversity because he's an average fighter

I agree.. May has the better resume.. But chino's style necessitates that he went through more adversity, because he straight up tries to break his opponent, whereas Floyd plays the finesse angle.

Maidana's gone through more adversity in the sense he had up and down fights with Ortiz and Lopez, had a close fight with Morales, lost to Khan and Devon and a 6 round war with Karrass but I don't think that's really a compliment.

He's had more adversity with lesser fighters.

Seeing as how he's been to prison, been dumped by his best friend and girlfriend, I'd say Floyd has faced much more adversity since '09.

Seriously though, It's Maidana. Dropped 3x's vs. Ortiz, in the first round against Khan, and came storming back in both fights. Plus his near retirement after the Alexander beating, plus slugfests with Karass and Lopez...he's been through quite a bit.

Maidana, obviously, he's not as good as Mayweather.

I got a question for you. Has Floyd ever faced a tall, rangy fighter with some boxing abililty. ir Please not Corrales because Corrales was more of a puncher than anything. More like a Forrest or Paul Williams
