He seemed to go down rather easily against Thurman, now it could've been the effect of that body shot the previous round, almost as if he had enough.
It was the effect of the body shot in the previous round. In the 10th round, Chaves was still trying to protect his body, which, of course, left him open to more shots to the head. He had no choice but to go down.

Other than that, trading hits seems to work well for him (which was why Thurman had to switch gears) so unless Rios can do what Thurman did, he's going to be in for a long night.

If it comes down to trading shots I'm going with Rios all day every day. I just can't envision Chaves winning a war on the inside.

Well, how often have you seen Chaves fight?

Not many times, even Maidana admitted Chaves doesn't know what to do when someone's attacking him like Rios will likely be doing.

Chino trains with Rios though so I wouldn't put too much into it. I know they're both from Argentina but he's been down with Garcia and Co. for a lil while now. Had Lucas said it, I would take it more into consideration. I think Chaves made Thurman respect him early, then we started to see One Time move a lil and attack. And IMO that's what gave him the issues. Thurman wasn't exactly a standing target. I'm going for Chaves. Hope he knocks Bam Bam the **** out!!

Chino was pretty diplomatic though and didn't really commit to any fighter during the interview. He talked highly of both, one a great boxer and the other a great come forward fighter. I don't know how close he is to Chaves though.

That certainly isn't the impression I got from the Thurman fight. I don't get why Maidana said that.
