****ing fan boys and haters, the guy fought for the mandatory and won, he fought the champ and was whooping his a$$, the ref screwed up not without his help because after all he did punch him after the bell, he fought him again and won convincingly and now is fighting the #3 in his weight div. as a voluntary defense and you guys are upset, he will fight farenas theres no doubt in my mind, the Cubans don't duck...

But the problem here is Saucedo was going to face Farenas in a eliminator.... so why face him than the other IBF rated guys?

Sure make a defense, I was expecting that... just not against the guy who was going to be in an eliminator

I don't know why they picked Saucedo, but just because he was supposed to be in a final eliminator doesn't make him ineligible as a title challenger. Farenas will simply face the next top-rated contender.

Bull****e. Saucedo is in no way "#3 in his weight div." He's an Argentine club fight who has never in his 13-year career beaten anyone in the top 50 and is generously ranked 35th by boxrec. The fact that the IBF ranks him #3 shows their corruption and in no way indicates he is, in fact, "#3 in his weight division." I don't give a *** about Farenas, but this is a cupcake title defense if I've ever seen one

Because Saucedo is a nobody with a very low knockout ratio? Outside of that, I see nothing unusual here. This is a voluntary defense and there are a lot of weak (or unknown) fighters in the IBF rankings.

What's YOUR point? Maybe you should re-read his post and mine. And I also sad this was crap.

This is solely on the IBF or Haymon (if he paid them). But I don't see why he (Haymon) would wanna avoid Farenas. Farenas is good TV and easy money for Barthelemy.

Barthelemy and his promoters have no pull for them to tell the IBF to do something like this.

so farenas was going to face saucedo for the #1 spot and it was ok, but it's not ok for the Champ to make a voluntary defense against the same guy, double standards if I've seen one; I know for a fact that if they offer a garcia fight he will take it in a heart beat, uchiyama is the other one because, who else?
