Boxing already has stars, such as Mayweather, Pacman, Canelo and the guy (Cotto) you give no chance of beating your idle. So boxing has it's proving stars let your boy pay his dues like everyone else.
canelo pac may & cotto are stars for a reason. they've paid their dues. all 4 of these guys have fought tougher comp then golovkin (golovkin has fought complete bums in comparison) he's older then canelo but yet canelo has the far better comp and resume.
golovkin is moving on one of the slowest paces to be built into this "star" he's just not gonna get there with the comp that he faces.
so many people b*tch and complain about canelo, pac, may, cotto. but big up guys like golovkin who haven't done even a ounce of what they've done.........you have to actually stop fighting the solimons and get some bikas in there. ward, froch. guys like this is what builds "stars"
it's not easy being a star, you just can't fight c and d class fighters while whining about cotto (who fought everyone) golovkin doesn't even want to fight WARD. a guy that would boost him in that "star" position. what did cotto have to do? cotto had to fight marg, mosley, pac, clottey. and golovkin won't even fight ward? you will NEVER be a star with that mentality of wanting to sit in a weak division and fight fighters like solimon (at 32 years old) not in a million years.
I'm tired of people going at canelo, may, pac, cotto. these guys are stars for a reason (they have a good following but most importantly they have fought tremendous competition) golovkin doesn't even want to fight ward....
The thread was obviously not serious, it was humorous.
I said myself Leoffer was dumb to say that. It was unnecessary. I also said I'm not mad at Cotto if he fights someone like Canelo, which would obviously be a bigger fight. My issue is if he doesn't plan on fighting MWs he should drop his belt and move back down to 154, which would be his right to do so, otherwise Its unfair to the middleweight division.
I can agree with that.
But if he fights QUillin in MSG or Barclays, that's a MW fight against a MW champ that fits your request. if that fight was made, I think you and others would still be upset because GGG isn't getting the shot.
The other problem is GGG's comments about fighting everyone from 154-168. A lot of fans don't care if he gets a MW shot or not, they want to see him live up to what he said. Again, its hard to criticize people for that.
I agree no fighter shoul hold up a belt but blame the sanctioning bodies and TV networks that allow it.
I think its time to face facts-GGG may not get a shot at the MW lineal title ever. The winner of cotto/canelo is fighting Floyd (assuming he is still undefeated) for the big dough.
i see these numbers of people viewing and wonder how many 100s' of thousands are like me and always watch ilegal streams of all fights. period.
besides being a cheapskate disabled vietnam vet( thats what my girlfriend calls me) i remember when microsoft and others said going on line would stay free. so fck them. they should be happy i watch their advertizements.

Should Canelo-Cotto happen for the lineal 160 title and then Mayweather fights and defeats the winner for the very same title will you claim that Mayweather is the middleweight champion?
I'd love to see Golovkin get a shot at Cotto but Golovkin really doesn't need it to lay claim to be the man at 160, he could do with that Cotto money though.
