Did anyone catch Max Kellerman's comment about GGG fighting like Joe Louis? WTF

They are showing a replay of the fight on HBO and at the end of the 2nd round Max Kellerman said something about GGG being stylistically like that of Joe Louis. Did anyone else catch that WTF moment? Did Max even watch boxing then?

Have you? The have similar punching styles. Joe Lewis is just a bigger stronger version.

I just watched highlights of Joe Loius in black and white and I definitely see some similarities in the way they throw punches. They both look like they are swinging sledge hammers.

Both of them seem to really plant their feet when they throw. It's not slow but it's not super fast either but they land and when it does the damage is evident.

The difference being Louis didn't swing as wildly and emit so much energy while missing those wild 100% power punches. I can't wait till Golovkin tries that on someone who can actually move their feet like Ward. That boy will be tired out by the 6th.

Max said RJJ would beat Joe Frazier after he beat John Ruiz. lol He said Judah was Pernell Whitaker with power. He compared Sergio to RJJ. They get excited and reach for stuff for their hottest in-house fighters. That's all.

The comparison is pretty accurate in the sense that GGG is a calm and intelligent puncher. That doesn't mean he's as good as Louis obviously.

That's the only difference? GGG places his punches very well and round after round his connect percentage seem to rise. GGG is the complete offensive package. He has great technique and is always in position to throw hard shots.
